Girls Football

July 22, 2015

This week we have had our Grade 5/6 girls participating in interschool football. On Tuesday the girls, accompanied by Mr Milner, played in the annual round robin competition. The girls were incredibly enthusiastic about the opportunity to play in the tournament with many of them involved with the girl’s team at Strath Storm. The girls acquitted themselves very well on the day displaying great teamwork, respect and cooperation. The girls played some outstanding football across the course of the day to win all 7 of their round robin games and progressed to the Grand Final against St Joseph’s. The final was a very tight affaire but with support of the parents on the sidelines ringing in their ears the girls the girls held on to win by 3 points to be crowned division champions for 2015. The girls now progress to the regional finals in Swan Hill in a couple of weeks.
