Community Arts Festival

Come along everyone to the Strathfieldsaye Primary School Community Arts Festival, held between Friday 14 and Saturday 15 October. The theme is ‘Dreaming with eyes open’.

Our School Art Exhibition is an opportunity to showcase the creativity in students with plenty of categories for them to enter, and prizes to be won. Enter now! See the entry form below.

All community artists (all skill levels welcome) are invited to submit their work into the Community Art Exhibition for viewing and sale, with a range of cash prizes awarded. Artists Registration Form

There’s also musical entertainment, market stalls, creative activities to participate in, carnival entertainment and plenty of food. It’s an opportunity for everyone to see, experience and immerse themselves in fabulous art, imagination and fun.

Gala Night
Friday 14 October 2022  |   5pm-9pm with official welcome at 6pm

The whole community is invited! Inside, Mayor Cr Andrea Metcalf is officially opening the Arts Festival. Tickets are $15 per adult (kids free) & includes access to the Art Exhibitions, drink on arrival, musical entertainment, live art auction and light canapes served by our Grade 6 students. Outside between 5pm and 8.30pm, the school grounds are transformed into a carnival side-show with facepainting, jumping castle, creative activities, chalk art, food trucks, music + more. You can also book into a free-style paint session with local company Pinot & Picasso (45mins) – click here to book a session.

Family Fun Day
Saturday 15 October 2022  |  10am-4pm 

Family Day is for the whole community to enjoy. We have three Art Exhibitions; student works, completed during Art Class, the competitive school student Art Exhibition, and the Community Art Exhibition. Not to mention, market stalls, creative workshops and activities, musical entertainment, jumping castle, silent auction, art trail and plenty of food. It’s $5 per adult (kids free) to access all three Art Exhibitions. You can buy a wristband for kids to participate in all the activities on the day.

Funds raised go directly to the school, supporting the establishment of a Creative Learning Hub (Arts, Music, STEM) which will ensure that our students are equipped with the best possible teaching and learning opportunities.
